India Tourism Mart 2018 was the brainchild of the tourism industry under the aegis of FAITH and was fully supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. It was an excellent platform for buyers, tourism stakeholders, states, Ministry of Tourism to come under one roof for B2B meetings and to share their knowledge & business ideas with one aim of promoting inbound tourism from all over the globe to India. The mart had participation of 244 inbound trade buyers from 69 International countries and 94 Indian companies through 142 stalls including 25 State Governments and 23 Hotels.
To showcase opportunities for the complete tourism value chain in India i.e. travel, hotels, destinations, tour & transportation intermediaries, the Mart provided an opportunity under one roof for participation to interact, seek information and share experiences with different disciplines of the tourism industry and also states with the aim of strengthening the brand positioning of “Incredible India”.
The FAITH platform and all the member associations also continued with its India Tourism Mart though in a hybrid format in the fourth quarter of FY 2021. It had participation of 244 inbound trade buyers from 67 International countries, 247 domestic trade buyers, from 21 hotels, 8 State Governments and 57 Travel & tour intermediaries as sellers. These involved 369 virtual meetings, parallel supported by a National Knowledge Conclave, 78. National & international tourism leaders shared their recommendations.
